Toronto, Canada and Johannesburg, South Africa - October 15, 2009 - BRC DiamondCore Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX: BCD, JSE: BCD) provides the following update on developments with respect to an option agreement affecting its Tshikapa kimberlite project in the Kasai-Occidental province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (the "DRC"). The Company has via option agreements 12 Exploration Permits ("PRs") in the Tshikapa region of southern DRC and these continue to hold promise for the Company as more fully described in the Company's NI 43-101 report, entitled "National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report on the Tshikapa Project of BRC DiamondCore Ltd. in the Democratic Republic of Congo" and dated March 31, 2009. Six of these twelve PRs at the project are held through an option agreement with ACACIA sprl, which has advised the Company of its wish to modify the option agreement.
